My wonderful mother and I both opted for blue floral dresses when we went to see The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House earlier this month. Great minds think (and style) alike. We had to get some photos of our accidental coordination...

We had a lovely night. The show was beautiful! It was the first time I've ever been to see a ballet (unless you count going to my sister's recital when she was about 10 and I was about 4) but I'd love to go again some time. The Royal Ballet is putting on a production of
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in Spring, which sounds quite tempting... Unfortunately, as you'll know, I'm scheduling my life around my thesis right now and Alice's run falls at what I anticipate is going to be a rather hectic moment. Oh well, there'll be something else in the not-too-distant future, I'm sure.
You two look really lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dresses you both look lovely, would love to see a ballet, good luck with your thesis! x
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely go see a ballet at least once! We got seats up high so they weren't awfully expensive, which is good when you don't even know if you're going to enjoy the experience! I wasn't sure how the seats would be but we could actually see everything, so I'd recommend trying that out.
DeleteI love both dresses! :)
ReplyDeleteperfect dresses!
ReplyDeleteHow serendipitous Lis - and such pretty blues you two! Love the snaps, you both look so happy :) xx
ReplyDeleteIt was a truly lovely, special evening. Our seats on high gave us a wonderful perspective to appreciate the patterns of the choreography. I want a knee-length tutu (what are they called?)! My dress is from a vintage shop in Glebe, Sydney last year;jumper can't remember but many years old & always helpful;scarf from op shop in countrytown of Sale;boots - Italian leather bought years ago at op-shop, prob Redfern, Sydney. Thank you for such a wonderful night. Can't believe I'd hesitated about going!
ReplyDeletep.s.Many thanks to The Cat for his patience and kindess in taking the photos. Did you notice the Absinthe poster?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your lovely comments, ladies! Mum was a tad shy about me posting up pictures of her but I assured her that people would leave nice comments... so I'm glad that you did!
ReplyDeleteYou both look stunning.
