In a couple of hours, I'll be at Euston Station, preparing to depart on the sleeper train up to one of the UK's best cities...
No, I'm not starting my Christmas holidays early. I'm actually heading up to Scotland on a work assignment, to hopefully uncover lots of archival treasures and solve architectural mysteries...
Me and my dad in Glasgow late last year |
Best stop mucking about and go pack then!
Have fun! Now that's something on my list: Glasgow!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely add it to your list! It's such an amazing city. I'm supposed to be heading back to London tomorrow evening but tempted to spend an extra day at my own expense - the problem when you go to a place for work is that there's not enough time to enjoy it properly!
DeleteHow exciting! I've always wanted to see Scotland - there's such an appealing blend of history and stunning natural landscapes to behold there.
ReplyDeleteHave a marvelous trip & the happiest of holiday seasons, dear gal,
♥ Jessica
Hopefully you will make it one day - it's truly a wonderful country. I love Glasgow for its urbanness and architecture, but I've seen a fair bit of its countryside as well, which is wonderfully varied and Romantic and dramatic...
DeleteHave fun, don't over-dose on deep fried Mars bars and BElle & Sebastian, etc... ;)
ReplyDeleteWait, it's possible to overdose on Belle & Sebastian? I'm surprised I haven't been hospitalised on numerous occasions already!
DeleteLOVE the perspective of the "Glasgow" signage. That's wonderful that you could get there as part of work. Hah hah to the Belle & Sebastian conversation.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think it took a bit of thinking to get not too much sky, etc, in the shot... And I am very lucky indeed to get to go to one of my favourite cities for work. It's always fun to have a night or two away for work but even better when it's in a place you already love!
DeleteOh, and clever pic of you and your dad :)
